As The World Turns
Lily invited Carly over for an early Fourth of July barbeque. Uncomfortable at the thought of being around Holden, Carly declined. However, Carly later saw a lonely Mike, and invited him as her date. When Holden heard the news, he had to cover how upset he was. The night was uncomfortable, and Carly and Mike left early. Afterward, Lily wanted to make love -- but Holden turned her down and ran out to get milk. Later, when Carly was home and locking up for the night, she saw Holden's car in her driveway. Holden admitted he was jealous of Mike, and as the two were about to kiss, Lily called him.
Cyndi Lauper went to Yo's to perform at a gay rights benefit, and Luke interviewed her for the paper. As they were talking, Noah showed up with Tony -- and Luke froze. When Cyndi noticed, Luke relayed their history. Though they later headed out, Noah ultimately rejected Tony, realizing he made a mistake. A bit later, Cyndi sang "True Colors" -- dedicated to her friend Luke -- and while she sang, Noah returned. Moments later, they headed outside, where Noah admitted he loved Luke, and they kissed. After the concert, Noah told Luke that they still couldn't be together -- he'd enlisted in the army. Though Luke was horrified, Noah insisted he wanted to find himself and serve his country.
Vienna brought George and Martha Washington costumes for her and Henry to wear in the Fourth of July parade. However, they got so turned on by their outfits that they ended up in some role-playing games.
GUIDING LIGHT
Ava admitted that she had feelings for Remy, but she couldn't walk out on a life with Bill. Soon, Olivia found them and threw Remy out. But then, Olivia left in a huff after Dinah said Remy could stay -- he was her plus one. Later, Lizzie told a disbelieving Bill what she learned about the baby from Jeffrey. Only wanting him to know the truth, Lizzie was careful not to influence Bill's decision.
When Ava told Lizzie to get out, she wished her luck, and said that Bill couldn't wait to see her. Afterward, Lizzie told Jeffrey that she told Bill about the baby -- but left what to do next up to him. Meanwhile, Bill confronted Ava, saying that he knew the baby wasn't his. Admitting what she'd done, Ava said she picked a donor that matched Bill's traits, swearing that she really wanted it to be his son, too.
Jeffrey said that when he and Reva got married, they should just elope. Meanwhile, Bill shocked Ava and said they'd still get married -- he loved the baby more than he was angry with her. Setting his terms for marriage, Bill left it up for Ava to decide. Afterward, Ava realized that Jeffrey let the truth about the baby out. Later, Ava and Bill avoided eye contact as she made her way down the aisle. As Bill and Ava exchanged "I dos," Lizzie and Remy were gut-punched. Moments later, Bill saw Lizzie arrive, as the minister pronounced him and Ava husband and wife.
